How many police departments have dress uniforms?
It is rare for a Police Department to have a formal dress uniform. The outfit that you’re fiance´ will be wearing during his graduation ceremony is the only dress uniform that he will probably have. All it will be will be a long sleeve work shirt, hat and white gloves. Not exactly debonair. Police officers don’t have awesome formal dress uniforms like the Marines do or even the Navy where a lot of those men get married in them or wear them to formal engagements. I am a former police officer with the LAPD and that dress outfit was far from stellar. I recommend he wear a tux at your wedding.
