How many points are awarded on the Applicant Ranking Worksheet for completing the CNA course?

0

No points are added to the Applicant Ranking Worksheet for CNA as successful completion of the CNA training is the minimum direct patient education that is required to apply. In the Formal Patient Care Education criterion of the Applicant Ranking Worksheet additional points can be earned for completion of a formal direct patient care educational program that is more advanced than the CNA. One program that fits the 6 months length minimum is Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (one semester in length which is approximately 5-51/2 months). Programs that meet the 2 year length requirement include Registered Nurse, Radiologic Technologist, and Paramedic. If you choose to complete a formal patient care education program that is more advanced than the CNA, you do not need to complete the CNA course.
