How Many PLUs and Departments are supported?
SELLmatix has been tested with more than 130,000 products without performance degradation. To put this in perspective, an average sized grocery supermarket will typically stock less than 8000 products, and it is not unusual for grocery wholesalers to have a total product range under 25,000. Most other POS systems have a severely limited ability to store PLU’s at the Point of Sale, and extract only the items actually sold from a warehouse catalog file. With SELLmatix, it is easier to store the entire catalog on each POS terminal, as this eliminates the need to extract the actual items stock and reduces the chance ofitems not being found. SELLmatix supports up to 999 departments.
