How many players will be named as Bobby Valentine 16U All-Americans?
Like the All-American lists for older boys, such as Rawlings for instance, there will be first, second, and honorable mention All-Americans for Bobby Valentine. We are also planning an Academic All-American team for those players who maintain outstanding GPA’s in addition to success on the diamond. Once selected, the number of teams that will be assembled during the Summer of 2010 will vary based on players who can/want to make a full 60 day commitment from early June until early August, to players that may only be able to play for the All-American team at select tournaments, to those players who simply want the honor of being named as an All-American, but due to other factors, may not be able to travel throughout the country to play at all of the premier tournaments which we have planned for our All-Americans for the summer of 2010. The honor, however, is official once a player is named, and they will be announced at the press conference at the ESPN zone in NYC regardless of how much
