How many players can an NBA team assign at once?
NBA teams can only only assign up to two players at once, and cannot have more than two NBA players on assignment at the same time unless an exception is made on a case-by-case basis. In one exception, NBA D-League teams that have a single-affiliation with an NBA team such as Austin, Texas, Tulsa, and Rio Grande Valley may have up to four players assigned as long as their affiliate meets NBA roster composition rules.
