How many players are on a team (A & AA levels)?
Team size can vary depending upon the number of kids registering to play but the preferred max roster size is 12 kids. Warriors has target roster sizes, varying by competitive division of play to ensure minimal financial requirements are met. Warriors currently assigns the jersey numbers for all registrants. This is done to attempt to manage the number of times a particular number is used across all of the teams at specific age groups. This policy was implemented a number of years ago because of numerous issues associated with jersey numbers. We originally had all teams use a team specific random jersey number assignment process. This generally caused the current popular jersey number to appear on every roster at that age group. This placed our coaches in the position to adjudicate who gets the number if more than one player wanted that number.
