How many pixels do digital cameras need to produce good quality 6×4 prints?

0

The rule of thumb used to be that 2 megapixel digital cameras would produce very good 6×4 prints, 3 megapixel cameras would be recommended for 8×11 prints, and 4 and above for even large and better prints. It has now become the norm for 5 megapixels and above which would be plenty for most uses.
