The number varies based on completion of the dissertation and defense, time away in field research, etc., as well as on the number of students accepted in any given year. In general there are between ten and fifteen A.M./Ph.D. students in residence in any given year. We accept only two to four students a year from an applicant pool between 80 and 110 in the past six years.
