PERRIS, Calif.—The California Highway Patrol on Monday was continuing to investigate the cause of a weekend tour bus crash that injured all 25 people aboard, eight critically. Sgt. Chuck Davenport said two officers were probing the wreckage to determine why the bus suddenly veered across Interstate 215 in Riverside County and collided with a sound barrier shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday. The bus was returning to the city of Colton from a city-sponsored trip to San Diego’s Cinco de Mayo festival. Davenport said he did not have any update on the conditions of the 24 passengers. The driver, 56-year-old Marie Ann Ritch of Banning, was released from hospital. “She’s sore but doing fine,” he said. The owner of the bus is Rancho Cucamonga-based Inland Empire Stages. Company co-owner Curtis Basey did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
