More people play golf than any other sport. Not only that, but golf can and is played by people of all ages. Some are even in their 90s with many more in the 80s who still compete. It is a pastime which keeps a person active without too strenuous input.

Many people play golf because ALMOST EVERY retired senior plays golf. Can you predict how many seniors there are in the world? Not many kids play it even though I do and i’m 13. If you go to the important kid tournaments then you will find about 300 kids per important qualifier tournament.

Very many but I believe the number is falling with fewer young people, especially young ladies wanting to play.It has to be made cheaper to play and more attractive, otherwise golf as we know it will ultimately die.
