How many people in Saskatchewan have Internet access?
Upon completion of the CommunityNet II Project, over 86% of Saskatchewan’s population will have access to high-speed Internet service. This project will be completed during the next two years. The Virtual Campus takes advantage of that growth to expand access to training. The Internet allows us to reach people who might not have otherwise been able to take courses because of work and other commitments or because they live too far away from a traditional classroom. The Internet also allows us to assemble virtual classes for which the numbers of students in individual communities might not support face-to-face instruction.
