How many people have narcissistic personality disorder and do not know anything about it?

0

I think most of them! As narcissists are so threatened by being challenged or criticised in any way, presumably their conscious minds cannot allow them to be aware of their difficulties – these are always projected onto others or the world ‘out there.’ The unrealistic nature of this view doesn’t seem ever to intrude on them, however intelligent they may be otherwise. Most people seeking help around this issue are their children – they themselves almost never seek psychological intervention as there is ‘nothing wrong with them’, and they have in most cases ‘given their whole lives’ to their disappointingly ungrateful offspring!
