How many people does it take to circle the globe once, holding hands?
First, I’m going to use Google to look up the Mean circumference of the Earth (Mean being sort of a statistical midpoint measurement as the radius varies from point to point, it’s would indicate then that wherever you picked on the globe, the most likely circumference would be about this)…. OK, according to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth), the mean circumference is 40,041.47km. Searching Google again, using “how many inches in a kilometer” I get 1 km = 39,370.0787 inches. Then I’ll search for average height of humans…. Again Google leads me to Wikipedia, here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orders_of_magnitude_(length), where it does eventually tell me that the average height o humans is 5 feet, 7 inches, which is 67 inches. I have always heard that one’s height equals one’s armspan, therefore, I used height as the measurm
