How many people died from skin cancer…?
The World health Organization keeps the statistics for all the reporting countries in the world and the National Cancer Institute keeps them for the United States. You can get the numbers you are looking for on their websites. However, they may not be available yet from WHO. In general, there are at least 1 million cases of BCC and SCC diagnosed each year in the US and these are not reportable cases so statistics will not be found as they are with other cancers. Although they are the most common of all cancers they only account for 0.1% of all deaths due to cancer. There are about 90,000 cases of melanoma diagnosed in the US each year and the number is rising. Off hand I do not know mortality rate. If you are doing a report, Kaposi’s is really more of a skin cancer than it is a sarcoma despite the name, but it is a fairly rare cancer.
