How Many People Died During Hurricane Katrina ?
The Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in August 2005 and caused damage on a large scale. Other areas hit by the hurricane were Mississippi, South Florida and Cuba, and other US states. There were damages to the economy, infrastructure and life. It is believed to be one of the deadliest hurricanes in the history of US. There were about 1300 deaths that were recorded. Other than that millions of people also became homeless as they had to evacuate the coastal areas.
