How many people die of starvation in America?
Excluding anorexics, the mentally disturbed, and druggies, not too many. But how does the saying go, about teaching a man to fish? My point was that if the government keeps giving people more and more stuff for free, more and more people are going to take it. Who’s going to turn down free money, food, etc? The solution is to educate these people how to manage their money and make good life decisions. Do you know how many poor people have never had a bank account, solely because their parents never had one? They need to teach better life skills in school, like the basics of money management, loans, mortgages, insurance, credit cards, credit ratings.
