How many people browse without images?
There don’t seem to be any accurate statistics on this (just like most other things on the Internet). Typically it’s quoted at 20 or 30 percent, although it varies a lot depending on class of users and type of site. Adding support for non-image browsers isn’t difficult- see the Accessible Design Guide: Images for more information on how to do it.
