How Many People Are Searching for Health Insurance-Related Terms Online?
The number of people searching for health insurance-related terms online has increased significantly in the last year, according to a new comScore report. For example, the number of people who searched online for the term “COBRA” increased by 176% from 24,292 in June 2008 to 67,157 in June 2009. The number of people searching online for “affordable health insurance” increased by 41% from 38,833 in June 2008 to 54,919 in June 2009. Meanwhile, unique online searches for the term “apply for Medicaid” increased by 104% from 20,952 in June 2008 to 42,668 in June 2009. In addition, unique Internet searches for the term “health insurance quotes” increased by 45% from 28,253 in June 2008 to 40,834 in July 2009.
