How many people are homeless in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County?
There are over 20,000 people homeless every year or 4,000 to 4,300 people homeless every night in Cleveland. In 2007, it was estimated that 20,087 people were homeless in Cuyahoga County. Not all homeless people are in shelters or on the streetmany are doubled-up staying with friends or relativesmaking it difficult to have an accurate count. There are others who sleep in the many abandoned buildings who also are difficult to count.
