How many parts can I divide the screen into? Is their a maximum limit to it?

You can divide the screen in multiple layouts. Simply right click and divide screen horizontally or vertically. You can resize the sections by clicking and dragging them one way. There is no limit to number of sections you can create depending on your usage needs.
