How many participants can register for the marathon and half marathon? Are there a limited number of participants in each race?
The 2012 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon have a protected cap of 24,000 participants. Of the 24,000 entries, 13,000 entries are reserved for the marathon and 11,000 for the half marathon fields. Please note that we reserve guaranteed marathon entries for participants that have run five or more Houston Marathons. We anticipate approximately 2,000 runners will qualify to register.
