How many parents help there kids with homework?
I help my children with their homework. I don’t do it for them, just present it in a different way that will make it easier for them to understand. My children all know that homework comes first, then playing. If they don’t finish their homework on time they will find their weekend activities consist of normal chores and extra homework assigned by mom or dad. I also call and harass their teachers and make them send me home a list of all assignments that are do each week along with deadlines for the assignments. I also expect monthly progress reports from the teachers which to my surprise usually upsets the teacher more than it has ever upset my children. I have had many conferences with a teacher and principal about this because the teacher doesn’t think it is necessary or it is too much work. I have come out on top every time to date. My parents did not take that great of interest in my education when I was young and as a result my grades reflected it. It was not until my mid 20’s tha
