How many pages should a chapter have?
Don’t worry about the length of chapters. Just write the story. No one is going to pay much attention to the length of chapters if they read it and it really doesn’t matter, it’s the story that counts. It’s whenever you feel a new chapter is needed. It depends how long the whole book is and who the audience is for how long chapters may be, but every story varies. It you think some are too short combine 2 chapters so you have one longer chapter. As for the witch, just think of words relating to her life or personality and use one of them to get a surname. Edit: “And how did you come up with the conclusion that is inspired by Twilight?! Witches have nothing to do with that god damn book!!!!!!” Agreed, but sadly a lot of people now see supernatural things as being like Harry Potter or Twilight. It’s all a lot of people know, they haven’t read any other supernatural stories. They base their views on what is popular.
