How many oz of milk should an 11 month old be drinking per day?
First of all, to some of the people that responded before me: Switching a baby to whole milk at 11 months instead of 12 months will not kill them……..sheesh! It is not like they go to bed the night before their birthday unable to digest whole milk, and wake up on the first birthday with the sudden ability to drink it. 1 year is just an average. Most babies are fine to have whole milk by 10 1/2 or 11 months…….it depends on the baby, not the exact age. But anyway, my pediatrician says that children 10 to 12 months of age should have 16-24 ounces of formula and/or whole milk per day. the combined total of the 2 should not be more than 24 ounces. My 11 month old gets two 8 ounce bottles of formula and two 4oz cups of milk, one with dinner and one with her snack. She is fine, happy, and healthy.
