How many ounces of fruit and veggies should a ten-month-old consume?
How are you measuring your ounces? My son is 10 1/2 months, and eats about 3/4 cup for breakfast (usually real oatmeal and fruit, or pancakes and fruit), about 1 cup for lunch, and another cup for dinner. Right now he is weaning himself though, and would prefer to eat his calories than drink them. His lunches and dinners are usually what we eat as a family, unless it is fast food, then he gets special meals. It’s a rough stage where your son is, since he hasn’t been eating solids for that long, yet is supposed to transition to having them make up the bulk of his diet. One idea could be to watch is cues when he is eating. If he seems to be really interested in his solids and acts like he would keep eating more offer him more. If he seems to be getting bored or tired of eating, then call that good enough. Also, make sure he is still drinking enough formula/breast milk, and just play it by ear. Good luck with what ever you decide.
