How many officers need to sign the forms?
As you may recall, changes to the Colorado Charitable Solicitations Act in 2003 included a reduction in the number of authorized officers who need to sign registration statements, amendments, or renewals on behalf of charitable organizations from two to one (see 6-16-104(2), C.R.S.). Prior to 2003, two authorized officers were required to sign the charities’ registration statements, one of whom needed to be the organization’s chief fiscal officer (CFO). If your organization would like its CFO to continue to be the one person who can sign charitable solicitations registrations, amendments, and renewals on its behalf, please send an email to charitable@sos.state.co.us and ask us to update the login.
