How many of the Promotores participants do you anticipate will need a Spanish-speaking interviewer?
Currently, 30.9 percent of Promotores participants speak only Spanish (monolingual Spanish). An additional 22.9 percent are bilingual in Spanish and English. However, we have found in the past that some bilingual participants prefer to conduct interviews and focus groups in Spanish (they feel they can express themselves more accurately in Spanish). Therefore, LAYC estimates that somewhere between 30 and 40 percent of the Promotores participants would require/prefer Spanish language interviewers. Will answers to these questions be available to us prior to March 27th? If not, can the proposal submission date be pushed forward to accommodate the one week post-question proposal turnaround timing? (If, at a minimum, you could answer this question prior to the 27th, it would be much appreciated.) Yes.
