How many of Rochesters MBA aspirants can be called “cyber applicants?
” A: Well, it’s hard to tell right now. But as we look this year, we know we have over 800 applications in process on several of the online application sources we use. Now, we assume that we’re not going to get all of those 800 applications. But that’s over double where we were last year at this time. So that seems like a significant increase to us. Q: Are you eventually planning to move Simon’s application process entirely online? A: We have not talked about that move. Though I think that naturally if things progress this way we’ll see the majority of our applications [online] in the next few years. It seems like from an applicant’s viewpoint, [applying online is] really easy. If you’re applying to more than one school, to be able to go online and fill out the bulk of the application — typing in your background information once to populate all of the applications you’re working on — certainly makes it easier from the prospective student’s viewpoint.
