How many non-profits will ultimately receive donations?
We anticipate that we will grant funds to several hundred organizations by the end of the project. The intent is to grant a minimum of $7,500 to any recipient so we know we’re having a sizeable impact. This means the number of recipients is dependent upon how much we ultimately raise. For example, if we reach our tipping point of 100,000 members ($1 million) and don’t raise any additional funds, then over 100 organizations could receive grants. If we reach our ultimate goal of 1 million members ($10 million) more than 1,000 organizations could receive donations. Again the final number will depend on how much is ultimately raised and how many organizations the flashmob4charity.org community recommends.
