How many new weapons and vehicles are there in Desert Combat?
Frank DeLise: Currently there are about 30 weapons and vehicles at the moment. We’ve replaced every weapon in Battlefield from the hand guns to the machine guns on both the Iraqi side and the US side. The number right now is pretty close to where it was when it shipped. When we’re done, it should be closer to about 50 or 60 weapons and vehicles, we’re about halfway done. IGNPC: How are you doing with all of the balancing issues that introducing new weapons and vehicles create? I noticed that the weapons and vehicles are all much more powerful than they used to be. Frank DeLise: Yes, everything is more powerful because of increased speed and range now. The balancing in .1 was pretty bad simply because we didn’t have the Iraqi stuff in there. Balancing in .2 was much, much better now that a lot of new things have been put in and the Iraqi weapons are installed.
