How many moons in the solar system rotate and which ones? Why doesn our moon rotate?

0

All the Moons in the solar system rotate, including ours. Our Moon rotates once a month. If you set yourself up a simple model of the Earth, Sun, Moon system, you’ll see the Moon has to rotate in order for the same side to always face the Earth. It’s becoming tidally locked with the Earth, so that’s why we only see one side, but it does rotate relative to the Sun.
