How many minutes of video can be transferred onto one DVD or CD?

DVD can hold up to 100 minutes of Mpeg2 video without unacceptable picture quality loss. When encoding video to CD-Rom for computer playback we recommend limiting the amount of video to 40 minutes, or 70 minutes for VCD. Storm can compress more video onto either type of disc though the picture quality will suffer depending on the type of footage and how much more you wish to add.
