How many minutes are in a soccer game?
A football match consists in two halves of 45 minutes each (continuous clock), at the end of which the referee may assign some extra minutes depending on the stoppages that may have occured during the half. Between the halves there is a 15-minute interval. Depending on the competition, there may be need to find a winner on one particular game (say, a knock-out round) and the game end on a tie. In that case an extra-time period of two halves of 15 minutes each will be played. If the score is tied at the end of that period a penalty shoot-out will be played, the duration of which can’t be foretold.
45 Min’s in each half(90 in total) in normal league games,in cup matches you have an additional 30 Min’s until we have a winner(15 in each half).if its still level on goals after that they have a penalty shoot out of 5 shots each or until a team has more goals. theres also extra minutes added on to normal and extra time called injury time which can be up to 5 Min’s depending on stoppages.
