How many millionaires are there in the United States?
There are 5.2 millionaires in the US (2012) if you define this as $1 million in investable assets. Amazingly (and somewhat scary) they actually control 39% of the wealth in the United States.
What about the ultra rich, like people with over $100 million dollars in assets. Interestingly, there are 2700 households in the US with more than $100 million in assets.
