How many milligrams does Seronex contain per serving, and what is the normal, or recommended, dosage?
Seronex contains 100 milligrams (mg) of botanically derived 5-HTP. Taken one to three times daily (100 – 300mg), we feel that this dosage provides for the best therapeutic benefit for various conditions related to imbalances of this important neurotransmitter. There has been no established ‘recommended’ dosage(s) for 5-HTP, as it is considered a nonessential nutrient. However, clinical studies regularly employ amounts ranging from 200 to 600mg.
