How many members of the Pac-10, Big Ten, ACC and SEC board of directors have to approve expansion?
The decisions are made by the presidents or chancellors representing the schools in each conference. In the Pac-10, all 10 members have to approve adding new schools. In the Big Ten, eight of the 11 members – or 70 percent — must approve adding new schools. In the SEC and ACC, nine of the 12 – or 75 percent — must approve adding new schools.
