There are 66 libraries in the Mid-Hudson Library System spread over five counties; Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia, Greene and Ulster. Each library is chartered by the Division of Library Development which is part of the Department of Regents. Each library is run by its own local board of trustees and creates its own policies and procedures.
