How many letters of recommendation must be submitted?
Full and International applicants are no longer required to submit a letter of recommendation. Trainee applicants need one letter from their program director. This letter is to verify his/her trainee status, and must state the nature of the training program and the estimated year of completion. This letter must be on official hospital/institution letterhead and can either be mailed to the AST National Office or it can be as an attachment sent in an email directly from the program director.
