How many leaves will be granted for 2007-2008?
Effective beginning with sabbatical leaves granted for the 2007-2008 AY, all applications for Type B sabbaticals will be approved if they meet the criteria set forth in CBA provision 27.5-27.8. Additionally, no fewer than 12% of the total number of campus faculty eligible for a sabbatical [twenty six (26) this year] shall be granted, if a sufficient number of faculty unit employees meet the conditions of Article 27. There were fifty-three (53) applications for AY 2006-2007 of which twenty-six (26) Type A and six (6) Type B leaves were granted.
