How many lamps should there be in a vertical tanning unit?
There should only be 48-50 lamps in a vertical tanning unit. The diameter should be 700mm, so that there isn’t a large gap between the lamps which can lead to striping on the body. If the lamps are too far away they are ineffectual and more lamps are needed. This only increases the electricity bill not the tanning output. If the lamps are too close with fewer lamps, there is insufficient power to tan. Also, if the space is small it can cause unnecessary claustrophobia in customers.
