The Philippines is a small country, about twice the size of Texas. It is made up of many islands and spreads very far from north to south in the North China Sea. In fact, it has over 7,107 islands. Only a few hundred of these are inhabited, however. Neighboring Indonesia has nearly 17,000 islands with 900 inhabited! Boats are the main means of transportation in countries like these.
