How many international students get jobs after completing the M.Ac. Program?
Since many foreign students choose to study at the University of Iowa in hopes of obtaining employment here after graduation, it is important for you to understand that the opportunities to work in the United States after graduation are becoming more limited. Feedback, from the firms that recruit on our campus, indicates that there will be few employment opportunities for international students who wish to remain in this country. The firms are unwilling to pursue the work authorization necessary for you to remain here after completion of your studies because of the time and expense involved. However, they have indicated that employment opportunities with them will continue to exist in your home country and encourage you to pursue those opportunities while you study here.
