How many instruments are used in a backing track ?
The instruments that are heard in the original recordings will the same ones heard in our backing tracks. However, the specifications of the GM standard allow a maximum of sixteen instruments to be played simultaneously, and this can sometimes bring about certain compromises. Certain elements of an orchestral passage would be grouped together, such as a string ensemble, for example.
