How many inputs and outputs are available?
All Galil motion controllers provide dedicated forward and reverse limits and a home input for each axis in addition to uncommitted I/O. Multi-axis controllers in one through four axis configurations provide 8 uncommitted, digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. 5 through 8 axis models provide 16 uncommitted digital inputs and 16 outputs. Accelera controllers also provide 8 uncommitted analog inputs. Most Galil controllers also provide I/O expansion options such as the DB-28040 I/O board for the DMC-21×3 controller. Galil’s RIO Pocket PLC provides an intelligent option for handling I/O on the Ethernet. Each compact RIO module provides 32 digital I/O and 16 analog I/O.
