How many indicators should a teacher have in a particular performance category to receive a rating in that category?
â–ºTeacher evaluation is the role of the principal she/he is responsible for the performance level determination. While the guideline should not be used as a checklist, for consistency however, it is recommended that a preponderance of performance indicators evidenced be in the category which is ultimately selected by the evaluator. For example, a teacher receiving a performance level rating of high performing would have a majority of these indicators at this level as evidenced during the evaluation process. The same could be stated for each category.
