How many hours of time equivalency credit must be earned?
Professional employees must earn 12 hours of time equivalency. Six hours are required in areas designated by campus/district needs assessment and other district requirements and six in areas of teaching or job assignments. Courses that qualify for time equivalency must directly relate to improving student achievement or to improving the professional employee’s job skills. Six (6) hours of time equivalency credit is equal to one workday.
