How many hours of HIV/AIDS are required by the Board?

0

Effective July 1, 2006, the Legislature changed the HIV/AIDS requirements for most health care licensees. A minimum of one hour per biennium used to be required for all licensees. New applicants were also required to take a HIV/AIDS course. Starting July 1, 2006, a 1-hour course is required by new licensees “prior to first license renewal.” Other licensees are not required to take the course each biennium, but can still take the HIV/AIDS course as an elective course.
