How many hours does an archaeologist work each day?
Dr. dig responds: Archaeologists don’t consider their work to be a nine to five job. They work long hours when they are in the field or in the lab. Much of their work is preparing the results of their excavations for publication to let others know what they have found out. Writing reports, budgets, scholarly articles takes time, and I know I have spent many hours beyond my bedtime to meet a dealine.
