How many hours do you think is good for visitation for dad for newborn (breastfeeding)?
I would definitely go the verbal route with your ex as far as financial support goes. I hate to break it to you, but there is no way for either country to enforce a child support contract as they are different countries with different laws, and what is put out in michigan cannot be legally enforced in Canada as it is a different jurisdiction. Obviously this is not something you would want your ex finding out, I would just tell him you want to avoid the legal route, to make it easier on him. I am canadian and my husband is american, we are currently living in California but spoke with a lawyer as to how child support contracts and visitation would go with my 7 year old step son, with my husbands ex, if we were to relocate back to Canada. We are waiting until he is old enough to legally decide to be with us as the laws are just too sticky and unable to be enforced. Good luck Momma!
