How many hours can you work on the Single Parent Pension?

it’s not the amount of hour you work, it’s how much you can EARN before they dock your benefit. I’m on Parenting payment partnered so can’t tell you off the top of my head how much it is, but my husband can earn $700 a fortnight before I start losing centrelink money, after that I loose $0.60 for every dollar over the $700 he earns. As I don’t work I can’t recall how much it is for me. Quite frankly the threshold for losing money is so much higher than what you get on the benefits, that if you are losing centrelink pay you are just about better off without it! I’m quite happy that my husband is earning over the cut off threshold, I’d sooner take the $2500 he’s earning in that time than the $400 I’d be getting if he wasn’t earning that money!
